Giorgos Zacharia serves as Chief Technology Officer of KAYAK and has served as its Chief Scientist since February 2009. Dr. Zacharia has extensive experience in machine learning and data mining and is also a co-founder of two machine learning-driven hedge funds, Stocknomics Ltd., and Emporics Capital Management LLC. He received Ph.D. in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also holds a master of science from the MIT Media Laboratory where he was a Telecom Italia Fellow in the Software Agents Group, as well as a bachelor of science in mathematics and a bachelor of science in computer science with a minor in economics from MIT.
